The Carolina Panthers have made an addition to their team via the UFL.
According to the team’s official site, they are signing standout UFL wide receiver Daewood Davis to their roster.
After going undrafted out of Western Kentucky, Davis had a quick stint with the Miami Dolphins in 2023 before going to the Memphis Showboats of the UFL.
After an outstanding season, Davis received an offer to play for the Panthers.

The 25-year-old earned All-UFL honors after leading Memphis in receiving.
His 446 yards were good for seventh in the UFL.
His five touchdown catches were tied for the team lead too.
The speedy wide receiver is now getting an opportunity to join a rebuilding Panthers team that hasn’t found much success since the days of Cam Newton.
This is a franchise that hasn’t had a winning record since 2017, and they have not won a playoff game since 2015.
They are also still searching for their first Super Bowl ring.
It can’t hurt to take a flyer on an exciting, young UFL player.
Perhaps Davis can make a name for himself while catching passes from Bryce Young.
If Davis can find a way to make an impact in Dave Canales’s offense this summer, he could be a part of the wide receiver core that includes Adam Thielen, Diontae Johnson, rookie Xavier Legette, and others.
No one is thinking anything much of this Panthers team and players like Davis.
But, they might be able to surprise fans with how competitive they are as the season inches closer.
