The Carolina Panthers dropped to 1-7 after yet another offensive struggle.
No. 1 pick Bryce Young has struggled mightily in his rookie season, and he hasn’t progressed much as the season has gone on.
That’s why former Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee mocked him on Twitter and thanked him for helping the Colts defense get their confidence back.
Very thankful for Bryce Young building this Colts Defense’s confidence back.

Young completed 24 of 39 passes for 173 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions in the 27-13 home loss to the Colts.
Young has thrown for 1,375 yards with eight touchdowns and seven interceptions through the first eight weeks of the season.
To make things even worse, this all happened on the very same day that No. 2 pick C.J. Stroud set a new record for rookie quarterbacks with 470 yards and five touchdowns in a huge comeback win for the Houston Texans.
It’s common for rookie players to go through growing pains, and it’s not like he has the best supporting cast around him.
However, with all the concerns that existed around his size and physicality — or lack thereof — and reports of him struggling to get a hold of the playbook, it’s hard not to be worried about him.
Young’s best traits were supposed to be his ability to make reads in real time, and his decision-making hasn’t reflected that thus far.
Still, the Panthers will be wise to continue to roll with him until the end of the season and not rush to make any decisions, especially considering how much they had to give up to get him in the draft.
