The defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs have not played up to expectations this season, even though the team is currently sitting with a 3-1 record after Week 4.
It has been a bit of a roller-coaster ride for Patrick Mahomes and company, with the team starting the season with a one-point loss to the Detroit Lions and getting close to getting beat every week except when they played against arguably the worst team in the NFL in the Chicago Bears in Week 3.
Heading into Sunday’s game against the New York Jets, the Chiefs were expected to come out on top as they were heavy favorites against the Aaron Rodgers-less squad, but Zach Wilson and company made a game of it and almost pulled off the upset.
If it weren’t for a penalty flag thrown on what would’ve been Mahomes’ third interception of the day, the Jets could’ve won this game and gotten back on track after losing consecutive games after the season-opening win against the division-rival Buffalo Bills.
After the game, Mahomes talked about the controversial call that turned out to be the difference in the game and gave his two cents on what happened on the field, even though Sauce Gardner begged to differ, according to 610 Sports KC via Dov Kleiman.

“At the end of the day, you get your hands around the guy’s neck like 15-yard downfield they’re gonna call something.”

Regardless of what happened on the field in Week 4, the fact of the matter is the Chiefs are now 3-1 and the Jets are 1-3, with both teams needing to move on from what was an entertaining game, whether Taylor Swift was in attendance or not.
The Chiefs will now go on the road with or without Swift to face the Minnesota Vikings while the Jets take on the lowly Denver Broncos in the Mile High City.
