Against all odds and despite all the doubt and criticism, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are back in the Super Bowl.
Andy Reid’s team was dominant from start to finish, and even though it wasn’t necessarily pretty at times, they took care of business on the road vs. the Baltimore Ravens.
Mahomes is now 14-3 in his playoff career and those wins have come in all shapes and forms.
Nonetheless, it seems like we’re watching the most mature version of the two-time Super Bowl champion as he’s making adjustments in-game and finding different ways to be efficient.
When asked about that, Mahomes admitted that he took a page from Tom Brady’s book (via SiriusXM NFL Radio).
“I’ve learned to play different,” Mahomes said.

He claimed that he’s had to learn how to play differently, adding that it’s not always about stakes or being ‘the man’ and saying that Brady did it for years to help his team win.
Mahomes is more than capable of putting up video game-like numbers; we’ve seen him do that throughout the course of his entire career.
Still, that hasn’t always translated to success, at least not this year during the regular season.
This is one of the things that make him and this team so great; they just have the utmost trust in each other and believe in every unit’s ability to get the job done.
Their defense has been spectacular, and the offense is finally coming together.
Now, they have a chance to become the first back-to-back Super Bowl champions since Brady and the New England Patriots did it in 2004 and 2005.
