Professional athletes these days are making so much money for what they do in their respective sports and with endorsements that they can be major investors in other things or possibly even in other sports.
It appears that NFL superstars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce have decided to head in that direction with their off-the-field ventures, as they have decided to join forces off the gridiron.
According to Yahoo Sports, the Kansas City Chiefs superstar duo have become minority owners in the Alpine F1 race team, with golf prodigy Rory Mcllroy and movie star Ryan Reynolds.

In the past, former superstar players in different sports used to throw their money into things like this, with Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson and NBA icon Michael Jordan being among the best businessmen out there.
With payrolls going up considerably in a lot of different sports, namely the NFL in this case, players that are still active and arguably in the prime of their careers can pull off these kinds of investments, which might be the way things are going in professional sports.
Current Lakers superstar LeBron James has been arguably the biggest innovator when it comes to these kinds of investments lately, as he recently became a billionaire while still actively playing in the league while owning part of the Liverpool F.C.
James also has his sights set on owning an NBA franchise at some point down the line, as he’d love to get his hands on the first team that is based in Las Vegas.
