After a forgettable start to the 2023 NFL season, the Denver Broncos have finally started to figure things out, with the team winning five straight games, which has resulted in the team improving to 6-5 on the season and having a realistic chance of making the NFL playoffs.
With the Broncos finally being upbeat and motivated about what could be a promising future in the Mile High City, things have definitely changed in Denver, which could also result in some changes on the field.
Interestingly enough, even though this will likely never happen as he’s too valuable to what the Broncos do defensively, All-Pro corner Patrick Surtain II talked about wanting to play wide receiver and trying to get head coach Sean Payton’s attention on the practice field to prove he could play the position.
Although Payton making that decision to give Surtain a change at wideout would be a long-shot, to say the least, the 23-year-old is all for it and would love the opportunity to make some noise offensively, as he told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

“If there were a time and an opportunity to get those offensive snaps, I would definitely be there.”

With the Broncos being arguably the hottest team in the league, along with the Philadelphia Eagles, who have both won five games in a row, Denver has a real shot to change the narrative in the final stretch of the regular season.
The Broncos were initially considered a joke this season, especially after the Miami Dolphins dropped a historic 70 points on them in Week 3.
Now, Denver can clinch a spot in the postseason while getting this franchise back on track.
