The Patriots gave up 48 sacks last season and have some work to do to clean up the offensive line heading into next season
New England locked up lineman Mike Onwenu on a 3-year, $57 million deal and brought in Chukwuma Okorafor on a 1-year deal in free agency, but there is still work to be done in the draft to tighten up the line in front of what should be a rookie quarterback coming in to take over the reins of the offense.
Tony Pauline of Sportskeeda reported that the Patriots’ offensive line coaches attended Maryland’s Pro Day to work out linemen Delmar Glaze and Gottlieb Ayedze.
#Patriots OL coaches attended Maryland’s Pro Day today to workout OL Delmar Glaze and OL Gottlieb Ayedze, per @TonyPauline.
Glaze is capable of playing all five positions along the line and is believed to be a fourth-round pick.
Ayedze is projected as a late day three pick. pic.twitter.com/jISjqx8nG9

With the Patriots likely using their No. 3 pick on a quarterback, they have to start doing their homework on OL prospects slated to go on Days 2 or 3 of the draft.
Glaze can play all five positions on the offensive line and is projected as a fourth-round pick, while Ayedze is seen more as a sixth or seventh-round pick.
A big reason behind the Pats’ offensive line struggles in 2023 was the team’s inability to lock in a consistent starting lineup.
The line never developed the cohesion it needed with players moving positions and various injuries taking place, so the new coaches are surely looking to find more defined roles for their guys.
It’s encouraging to see the Patriots continuing to prioritize the line this offseason given the likelihood of bringing in a rookie quarterback.
Either of these two players would make plenty of sense as depth pieces and potential future starters down the line.
