The New England Patriots will bring back a familiar face to Foxboro.
Bill Belichick has officially traded for former star CB J.C. Jackson, according to a report by Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

Jackson had spent his entire career with the Patriots since he walked in as an undrafted free agent in 2018.
He had become one of the most prominent defensive backs in the game during his days at Gillette Stadium, eventually earning a five-year, $82.5 million contract with the Los Angeles Chargers.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to make an impact in Los Angeles, up to the point where he was benched midway through his first season with the team.
Jackson eventually worked his way back into the starting lineup, but a non-contact patellar tendon injury ended his season the very next week.
Now, he admitted to being ‘confused’ after being benched in Week 3, and it became evident that he was never going to be back to his old self in Los Angeles.
The Patriots have always been a defensive-minded team, and they know their best chance to get the job done is by keeping Mac Jones and the offense off the field.
That’s why they didn’t hesitate to bring Jackson back, even though they’re going to have to pay him way more money than they wanted to in the first place.
The former Super Bowl champion is still quite young and should have plenty of miles left in the tank, and he’s back to where he became a star in this league.
