There is no doubt that Peyton Manning is, at minimum, a top-five quarterback in NFL history.
The five-time MVP and two-time Super Bowl champion holds many records that won’t be broken for a while.
However, one record that Manning hopes will be broken sooner rather than later is his rookie interceptions record.
His 28 interceptions thrown as a rookie is the worst mark in NFL history.
In a recent interview with the Denver media, Manning stated that he hopes his record gets broken by one of the incoming rookie quarterbacks.
“I played as a rookie…It was not a fun year…If any one of these rookies wanted to break my interception record, I’d be for it…I’d like to get that one off my resume,” Manning laughably said.

The only quarterback in recent memory that most people remember throwing over 28 interceptions in a season was Jameis Winston in 2019, who threw 30.
Manning’s record has stood for over a quarter-century and is not likely to change barring a meltdown from one of these rookie quarterbacks.
But, it’s not that big a deal.
Manning is widely viewed as one of the best signal-callers to have ever stepped on a football field.
His 2013 season in Denver was one of the most electric seasons for an NFL quarterback.
He threw for a record 5,477 yards and a whopping 55 touchdowns, which was also an NFL record.
Even if his rookie interceptions record isn’t broken, his career will always be way too legendary for anyone to remember his rough rookie season.
