The Philadelphia Phillies are one of the most popular teams in baseball and have one of the best fanbases in the sport.
As many know, the Philly fans are passionate about their teams and want to see them succeed.
But, sometimes that passion takes a turn for the worse.
A few times each season the Phillies would host “Dollar Dog Nights” at the ballpark.
It was a great way to get fans out to the games and get to eat some cheap hotdogs.
But, that will no longer be happening in 2024.
According to The Associated Press, the Phillies have canceled Dollar Dog Nights this season.
The reason behind it is due to unruly fan behavior.

The reason for the cancellation is that fans were throwing hot dogs around the park last year.
In the article, the Phillies released a statement saying they were canceling this promotion, “based on the organization’s ongoing commitment to provide a positive experience for all fans in attendance.”
The last thing anyone wants while watching a game is to get hit in the head with a flying hot dog.
So the Phillies thought it was best to cancel it all together.
It is a shame for the fans who enjoyed the hot dogs, but a few people had to ruin it for everyone.
To replace these nights, the Phillies will host “BOGO” nights at the park.
So you can still get a discount on the frankfurter but it will no longer be a dollar.
