Bill Belichick’s next head coaching destination is one of the most-talked-about subjects this offseason after he and the New England Patriots parted ways after 24 seasons this offseason.
The Atlanta Falcons quickly jumped out to land Belichick, as rumors swirled around the coach’s connection to the NFC South team.
While nothing is official yet, there are enough reports out there for former NFL quarterback Boomer Esiason to believe Belichick will be coaching in Atlanta in 2024.
“I would say this is definitely going to happen,” Esiason said on WFAN’s “Boomer & Gio” show on Friday. “I think it’s just a matter of time before this thing gets announced.”

This would be quite the change in scenery for Belichick after so many years running the Patriots in the AFC East.
The Falcons haven’t been good since Matt Ryan led them to the Super Bowl in 2016-17, yet they rounded up a lot of young talent through the draft – especially on offense.
Quarterback remains the biggest issue, though, as Atlanta hasn’t found a replacement for Ryan since they traded him away.
Belichick has a proven track record of fixing teams – especially on defense – so it would be interesting to see how he solves the quarterback problem ahead of the 2024 season if he in fact lands the Falcons job.
Who he brings in on his coaching staff will also be interesting to see considering how poorly his assistants have fared in the NFL without his direction.
The Falcons are thinking about making an NFC South run in 2024, though, and Belichick sounds like the first piece to solving their puzzle.
