Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert isn’t thought of as one of the best backs in football.
But every down, he certainly plays like it.
That is thanks in part to his running style and hunger for yards.
The Pro Bowl back recently talked about his running style on the “Ross Tucker Podcast” and how he prefers to gain yards.
“This is where the power in me comes out, right? I like the physicality…I’m gonna blow past you but I feel like it’s more demoralizing when you run through somebody’s facemask,” Mostert said.

This is what makes Mostert one of the better offensive players in the sport.
Despite being 32 years of age, he is coming off his best season as a pro.
He had his first 1,000-yard season of his nine-year career and led the league in rushing touchdowns (18) in 2023.
In his last two seasons combined, which have both come with the Dolphins, he has recorded over 2,200 scrimmage yards and 26 total touchdowns.
Mostert is a rare case at the running back position.
He has gotten better with age when most backs get worse.
This upcoming season, Miami has themselves an elite group of skill players.
Led by Mostert and All-Pro receiver Tyreek Hill, the team also has stud running back De’Von Achane, 1,000-yard receiver Jaylen Waddle, and splash free-agent signee Odell Beckham Jr.
If Mostert continues to play like he has on the ground for years now, the Dolphins should be a real threat to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC.
