The San Francisco 49ers take on the Green Bay Packers on Saturday night in a battle of one of the best teams in the NFL versus one of the most ascendent teams in the league.
The 49ers got the week off after they secured the first-round bye a few weeks ago and boast one of the best overall rosters on offense and defense.
The Packers have been great in their own right, but Miami Dolphins and former 49ers running back Raheem Mostert said on his podcast that Green Bay doesn’t have the defense to stop San Francisco’s stable of skill position players.
“I just don’t see the Packers controlling that offense on the defensive side of the ball,” Mostert said. “I don’t think they’re going to be able to stop Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, [George] Kittle – a plethora of weapons. I know that team, I know they’re going to be ready to go.” (via @Coach_Yac/X)

Not many teams have stopped that group this year, so it stands to reason that seasonal stats are against the Packers in this one.
Green Bay did a good job thwarting the Dallas Cowboys a week ago in the wild card round with two early Dak Prescott interceptions but did eventually give up 32 points in what ended up being a much closer game than it looked for most of the contest.
San Francisco is an entirely different beast, though, as they’ve absolutely annihilated most teams this season – especially ones with suspect defenses like the Packers.
We’ll see Saturday night.
