The Miami Dolphins will continue to have their explosive running-back tandem on the field next season.
Following an impressive 2023 campaign, they didn’t hesitate to sign RB Raheem Mostert to a big contract extension.
After joining the team as a free agent in 2022, the former San Francisco 49ers workhorse will now be under contract through the 2025 season.
The Dolphins then shared a clip of Mostert talking about how excited he was about getting the opportunity to stay in South Florida for years to come.

Mostert logged 1,012 rushing yards on 209 carries, averaging 4.8 yards per carry last season.
He also grabbed 25 receptions for 175 yards (7.0 yards per reception).
Mostert entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Purdue.
As of now, he’s made 90 appearances (38 starts), logging 674 carries for 3,513 yards and 32 touchdowns, adding 92 receptions for 738 yards and eight scores, so the bulk of his production came last season.
Of course, the Dolphins also have a promising back in De’Von Achane, who caused havoc out of the backfield when available last season, but he missed plenty of time with injuries.
Achane is an explosive speedster who excelled at breaking tackles, and this kind of 1-2 punch is only going to open up things even more for Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill to do their thing in the open field.
