One of the splash draft picks in the middle rounds of the NFL Draft came when the Los Angeles Rams took two-time All-American running back Blake Corum out of Michigan.
The national champion player will now get to go play with Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp, and Puka Nacua.
Rams GM Les Snead recently spoke on how the team plans to use Corum, even though they already have Kyren Williams.
“They have a similar play style…It’s a 17-game season…We needed to have as many quality runners as possible so we don’t just totally run down Kyren,” Snead told the team’s official site.

This screams to me that Kyren will still see a healthy workload

Kyren Williams is coming off of his own impressive second year in the NFL.
After being virtually silent as a rookie, he exploded onto the scene rushing for 1,144 yards and 12 touchdowns in just 12 games.
That is part of the Rams’ thought process here.
Williams is yet to play a full season, which is in part because of injury.
If he goes down, the Rams now have a very capable back in Corum, who has experience running in big games.
The team also has veteran running back Boston Scott on the roster too.
Fans may remember Scott for his time with the Eagles from 2018-2023.
This offense now has three capable running backs that both Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford can trust in big moments.
Injuries are always a part of the NFL.
That is why drafting Corum in the third round this year was the right call by Snead and McVay.
