Will Smith’s MLB career has taken him to unexpected places.
It’s normal for a baseball player to travel a lot, get traded, and start over in a new city.
Well, it’s probably not normal, but it’s part of the job description.
In Smith’s case, he has been fortunate enough to play for not one or two, but three World Series-winning sides in the last three years.
It has been a perfect trifecta!
The league’s official Twitter handle dedicated a post to him after he won it all again with the Texas Rangers, with information by Sarah Langs.

Langs said that among the four major American professional sports (NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL) Smith is the first player to appear in at least a game with three champions in three consecutive years.
If you don’t remember, Smith was the closer of the Atlanta Braves in their impressive 2021 World Series run.
There, Smith was perfect in 11 postseason innings, four in the Fall Classic.
In 2022, life took him to Houston to play for the Astros.
He was a trade deadline acquisition, and even though he didn’t actually pitch in the playoffs, he got a ring because he did play in the stretch run.
This year, he was part of the Rangers as they won their first World Series title in franchise history.
Smith was more of a mop-up guy in the 2023 postseason, pitching just 3.1 innings and allowing four earned runs, but he gets a third consecutive ring with his third different franchise.
A career 3.67 ERA pitcher, you can’t say the left-hander is not a winner.
