The Baltimore Ravens had a glimmer of hope of having one of their best players back on the field.
Star TE Mike Andrews has made great strides in his recovery from his ankle injury.
Some expected him to be back on the field to play vs. the Houston Texans.
Nonetheless, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that the team won’t activate him from the Injured Reserve (IR) list for this weekend.
Not yet: The #Ravens are not expected to activate star TE Mark Andrews from Injured Reserve to play against the #Texans, as he’s not quite ready to return from a significant ankle injury.

However, there’s still hope he could be back for the AFC Championship Game, should the Ravens make it that far.
Rapoport adds that the Ravens were always targeting next week, but some reports stated that Andrews could’ve been ready earlier.
Isaiah Likely has stepped up big time in Andrews’ absence.
Nonetheless, with him being Lamar Jackson’s favorite target in the passing game, getting him back on the field could give Todd Monken’s offense a significant boost.
Even without him, the Baltimore Ravens managed to have the best record in the league, and Jackson is more than likely going to win his second MVP award.
Nonetheless, they still have to prove themselves in the playoffs, which is something that has haunted them throughout the course of the Lamar Jackson era.
The Texans are inexperienced but tough, and stopping a rising star like C.J. Stroud isn’t going to be a cakewalk, not even for this stellar defense, so this game could end up being much closer than most people predicted.
