Last season, Lamar Jackson ran away with NFL MVP honors, both literally and figuratively.
However, it seems like we still haven’t seen the best of the Baltimore Ravens’ star.
According to Isaiah Likely, he couldn’t even recognize Jackson the last time they got together to work out.
In his latest appearance on Kay Adams’ Up & Adams Show, Likely revealed that Jackson has gotten even faster, now that he’s slimmed down (via Sarah Ellison).
“If ya’ll thought L was fast before…,” Likely said.

Adams stood up and almost left the set in disbelief, and that’s pretty much the same reaction most defensive coordinators will have if it’s true.
Jackson is perhaps the greatest scrambling quarterback this game has ever seen, at least number-wise, with his quick twitch, acceleration, and ability to change direction.
We saw a different version of him in his first year under Todd Monken.
He was more of a pocket passer, sometimes to a fault, and it seemed like that game plan held him back in the AFC Championship Game against the Chiefs.
Jackson has made great strides as a passer, and it makes sense that he’s tried to establish that aspect of his game a little further, especially considering his history of injuries.
But his instincts as a runner are elite, and that’s one of the things that make him such a unique and special talent.
So, if what Likely says is true, the league is officially in a lot of trouble.
