The Tampa Bay Buccaneers need to find a way to get Mike Evans locked in for the future.
According to a report by Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the team is working overtime to make sure to get the Texas A&M product signed for years to come.
This is a nice turn of events, as Evans had already given them an ultimatum last season.
The Bucs are working to retain Mike Evans in a “major way” per, @JFowlerESPN.

Both parties were unable to strike a deal, and he made it loud and clear that he wouldn’t negotiate further into the season.
Then, it seemed like they were far apart in negotiations, but that no longer seems to be the case.
Evans has repeatedly talked about his desire to stay in Tampa for the remainder of his career, and the team needs to make sure that happens.
He’s logged at least 1,000 receiving yards in every single season since he entered the league, and he’s got the opportunity to retire as one of the greatest players in the history of the franchise.
Evans has put up big numbers regardless of who’s been at quarterback for them.
Also, if they want to bring back Baker Mayfield as expected, the first thing they need to do is make sure he has his No. 1 weapon out there.
Evans is an elite wideout, and multiple teams would definitely love to have him in their ranks, including the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Bucs need to make sure that doesn’t happen, and it’s nice to see that they’re finally working hard on a deal.
