New England Patriots fans might want to buckle up.
It is the week of the NFL Draft and when your team is picking in one of the top-three slots, you need to be prepared for anything and everything.
According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, New England is listening and taking calls from teams interested in jumping into pick No. 3, via Dov Kleiman.

The Patriots are about to enter a whole new era.
They parted ways with the legendary Bill Belichick earlier this offseason and hired former inside linebackers coach Jerod Mayo to take over.
They traded former first-round starter Mac Jones to Jacksonville for a late-round pick.
This team has a lot of holes to fill, but it starts at the quarterback position.
Mayo and co. have their fair share of options to choose from when it comes to the talented signal-callers in the draft.
USC’s Caleb Williams is likely to head to Chicago at No. 1 overall.
Then, it is hard to say what will happen after that.
Most believe LSU Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels will be headed to Washington at No. 2, but it’s not set in stone.
After Daniels, it is fair game.
The Pats could take either North Carolina’s Drake Maye, Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy, or Washington’s Michael Penix Jr.
Again, maybe Daniels slides to them.
They could also decide to acquire more picks by trading down with a hungry team.
Then, perhaps a longtime college starter like Bo Nix could be available for them.
It will be very hard for the front office to mess this up, especially because nothing great is expected from this team in 2024.
But, it is such an interesting time in New England right now, which is why fans need to fasten their seatbelts this week.
