The Kansas City Chiefs aren’t playing just for another ring tonight.
They’ll play for legacy, for history, for something bigger than this.
That’s why Super Bowl LVIII matters the most to this core; it matters more than any of the others they’ve won to date.
Notably, the players, and especially their best players, want everybody to be on the same page.
With that in mind, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Chris Jones addressed their teammates Saturday night.
According to Insider Albert Breer, Kelce’s words were so inspirational and powerful that he actually moved some players to tears (via Albert Breer).
Chiefs coach Andy Reid had Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Chris Jones address the team last night at the hotel. All were great. Kelce particularly so— “Unbelievable” and “powerful”, according to people in the room, to the point where some teammates were moved to tears.

Travis Kelce isn’t the kind of guy who’ll talk a big talk, and he’ll often let his game do the talking for him.
But he’s a born leader and a guy whose impact has always gone beyond the stat sheet.
The Chiefs have been through a lot this season.
People counted them out almost every week, yet here they are.
Analysts claimed they were done and they wouldn’t stand a chance to get back to the big game, and they were all wrong.
Now, it’s all about rallying together one last time to prove that they’re one of the greatest teams this game has ever seen, and maybe even a dynasty in the making.
It means more.
