Tom Brady hasn’t thrown a pass for over a year, yet once again, he’s all over the NFL news.
Appearing on Shadow Lion’s DeepCut Podcast, the seven-time Super Bowl champion teased coming back from retirement — yes, again.
Brady admitted that he wouldn’t be opposed to suiting up again if the right opportunity presented itself.
He named the New England Patriots and Las Vegas Raiders as potential options, adding that he would always stay in shape and be able to throw a pass, comparing his situation to when Michael Jordan came back.
Brady also acknowledged that he didn’t know whether the league would allow that because of his recent attempt to purchase a minority stake in the Raiders, but he left the door open for a potential postseason — and Super Bowl — push.
With that in mind, Denver Broncos beat writer Troy Renck stated that HC Sean Payton should at least give him a call.

In his latest article for the Denver Post, he reminded us of the fact that the Miami Dolphins already had a deal in place to get both Brady and Payton before the Brian Flores fiasco, so they clearly know each other pretty well and have a solid relationship:
“Why would the Broncos even be in the mix? Coach Sean Payton. It wouldn’t be the first time these two have been connected. Dolphins owner Stephen Ross was suspended part of last season, fined $1.5 million and the team docked a 2023 first-round pick and a third-round selection in 2024 for illegally tampering with Brady and Payton as he tried to bring them to Miami,” wrote Renck.
That makes sense on the surface, of course, but why would Brady want to come back for a struggling team with an evident shortage of talent?
Also, perhaps joining the same division as the team he wants to be a part of, a team featuring Jim Harbaugh and the back-to-back Super Bowl champions, might not be the wisest decision.
Brady could come back, but the Broncos should be nowhere near his list of potential destinations.
