The Dallas Cowboys entered the season with the same expectations and hype as every year.
This time, however, they might be able to live up to it.
Even though there were serious doubts about Mike McCarthy and Dak Prescott, both have been much better this season, and they’re stacked on both sides of the field.
With that in mind, former NFL coach-turned-analyst Rex Ryan said on NFL on ESPN that he believes the Cowboys are finally going to get over the hump this season.
The former coach argued that the Cowboys have the best roster in the league right now, asking when they would get the job done if they failed to do it this season:
“It’s your time to win it,” Ryan said.”I will double down on it. I think this is the year for Dallas.”

Truth be told, that seems to be the sentiment around the league.
Perhaps him saying that they have the best roster in the league is a bit of a stretch, as the San Francisco 49ers and even the Philadelphia Eagles could have an edge in that regard.
But they do seem to have the best QB-WR duo, at least chemistry-wise, with Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, and they’ve been the best home team in the league by a significant margin dating back to last year.
It’s been almost three decades since the Cowboys last won a Super Bowl, and patience is running out.
There could be some major changes if this team underperforms in the playoffs again, starting with coach McCarthy, and it could also take a huge toll on Prescott’s impending contract extension
