The Philadelphia Phillies have had a great season up to this point.
But, they still have a ton of unfinished business they need to handle.
It all starts in the Wild Card round with the Phillies hosting the Miami Marlins.
Last year, the Phillies went from the final Wild Card spot to the World Series.
They hope to take a similar path this time around but have to do it without a key player.
Rhys Hoskins suffered a torn ACL in spring training and he has been out for the entire season.
The first baseman is a fan favorite and someone who can change a game with one swing of the bat.
It just so happens we may get to see him swing a bat after all.
According to Gabriella Galati, Hoskins was taking batting practice before the playoff game.
There seems to be a chance he could return for the World Series if the Phillies make it.

What Hoskins is trying to do is similar to his teammate Kyle Schwarber.
In 2016, when Schwarber was with the Chicago Cubs he tore his ACL in the second game of the regular season.
He ended up coming back and helping the Cubs win the World Series that year.
Now Hoskins can use Schwarber as proof that he can make this comeback.
The Phillies could use another right-handed power bat in their lineup.
Also, thanks to the universal DH, Hoskins could slot into there and not have to worry about fielding.
There is still a lot of work to be done for the Phillies to make the Fall Classic.
But, they might have an impact player waiting for them if they can get there.
