The 2023 NFL season was one for the books given all the teams that had a claim to win the Super Bowl, but it was also the first season in decades that didn’t feature Tom Brady as a starting quarterback.
After losing in the 2022 NFL Playoffs, Brady officially retired for a second time from the NFL and stayed true to his word as he didn’t try to land on a roster.
There was plenty of speculation that Brady would come back for the right opportunity, and there was a brief moment where he was linked to the New York Jets after Aaron Rodgers suffered a torn Achilles in Week 1.
However, Brady stayed off the field and focused on other ventures in his downtime, including his acquisition of a minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders.
True to form, though, Brady recently didn’t rule out a return to the league which again led numerous people to dissect what he meant and if he was actually serious.
Analysts like Rich Eisen, though, had a strong opinion on whether or not Brady would actually come back for a third time via the Rich Eisen Show.
“He’s not coming back,” Eisen said.

Eisen’s primary argument was that Brady would be ineligible to return as a player if his stake with the Raiders is approved.
While the league owners could vote on his ability to return, the most likely outcome is that the future Hall of Famer keeps his cleats hung up for good.
While it would be fun to see Brady attempt another comeback, his playing days are most likely over.
