The Detroit Lions got a big win when they held on to beat the Los Angeles Rams in the Wild Card round.
It was the first time in decades that Detroit got to host a postseason game and the team didn’t disappoint as they played fearlessly to capture a win and advance to the NFC Divisional Round against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Under head coach Dan Campbell, the Lions have steadily improved every year and now look like a legitimate threat to make Super Bowl LVIII.
There aren’t many glaring weaknesses on Detroit’s roster outside of their secondary as they’ve got the pieces in place to win games in multiple ways.
The offense remains one of the most electric under offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, while the defense has a knack for making plays when needed.
The Lions have a long way to go still, but Rich Eisen is buying them as a possible Super Bowl champion via his personal Twitter account.
“Heck yeah, they can win it this year,” Eisen said.
I did not stutter, @Lions fans.

To Eisen’s point, Detroit gets an excellent opportunity to advance as they’ll host Tampa Bay though it won’t be an easy game as they can do real damage offensively.
Baker Mayfield’s playing great football and has a skilled receiving corps in Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Cade Otton.
However, should the Lions beat the Buccaneers they’ll either get the San Francisco 49ers or the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship round.
All things considered, Detroit’s chances are shooting up and it might not be long before more fans share Eisen’s opinion.
