Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh is the talk of the town in the college football and NFL world.
Not only are his Wolverines in the College Football Playoff championship, but Harbaugh could be a highly-coveted NFL head coaching candidate this offseason with several teams looking to hire a new leader.
Harbaugh has coached a lot of football in his career at both levels, too: He was the head coach for San Diego and Stanford in college before he made the jump to the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers.
Former NFL cornerback and Fox Sports analyst Richard Sherman played for Harbaugh during their time together at Stanford, and while Sherman acknowledged Harbaugh did a great job putting his staff together, Sherman added that the two “butted heads” a lot.
He specifically remembers a game against Washington where Sherman didn’t understand why Harbaugh wasn’t playing more aggressively on offense.
“We were down three scores and we were running the ball and not throwing the ball down three scores,” Sherman said. “We had a few issues where he didn’t see eye to eye.”

Harbaugh’s inability to play nice with management also reportedly played a key role in his departure from the 49ers in 2014 after four seasons and one Super Bowl appearance.
But even still, the coach managed to bounce back at his alma mater and lead Michigan to an 88-25 record over the past nine years.
He very well may leave Michigan for the NFL this summer, but first he’ll have to fend off Washington in the CFP championship game next week in what should be an exciting college football match.
