The 2023 NFL Season has provided a lot of surprises.
Several teams that were expected to be good have turned out to be non-contenders.
Several teams slated to be in the middle of the pack have made their way to the top, including the Baltimore Ravens.
The Ravens hold the AFC’s best record heading into their bye week.
While many have been quick to applaud the Ravens for getting to this point, impressed with their performances, others are not so sure.
One such doubter is Richard Sherman, who said this team “doesn’t feel like a number 1 seed” in a recent conversation with The Volume.
“Their record is great… but it doesn’t feel like a #1 seed”

Sherman was skeptical of their record thus far and said that it does not necessarily tell you the kind of team this is.
He talked about a potential run-in with the San Francisco 49ers and other difficult teams and did not believe they were built to handle them.
One of the most positive aspects of the Ravens’ team, at least to Sherman, is their defense.
As a former defensive player in his respect, Sherman can appreciate and understand when a defense is doing great things.
He does believe their defense is playing well at the moment, but he wants Lamar Jackson and the offense to take another step.
If he cannot carry the offense, potentially picking up the defense when they have a challenging game, the Ravens could be in trouble.
With upcoming matchups against the Jacksonville Jaguars, 49ers, and Miami Dolphins, Jackson and the Ravens have a chance to prove Sherman wrong.
