Travis Kelce has a legitimate chance to be considered the greatest tight end in NFL history or at least one of the three best.
He’s a two-time Super Bowl champion, a nine-time Pro Bowler, and holds the NFL record for postseason receptions.
Simply put, he’s done absolutely everything in this league, and is a guaranteed first-ballot Hall of Famer.
That’s why fellow legendary TE Rob Gronkowski wouldn’t be so shocked to see him retiring at the end of the season.
“If Travis goes out and gets a championship, I could see him retiring,” Gronkowski said.

Talking to Kay Adams on the Up & Adams Show, the four-time champion claimed that he could definitely see him riding into the sunset with his older brother Jason, especially if he wins another championship this season.
Gronk claimed that the Kelces have a lot of great things going on outside of the game, including the No. 1 podcast in the sports world, so he could definitely retire.
Football is a physical game, and while Kelce could definitely have plenty more left in the tank, he’s earned the right to just enjoy the rest of his life pain-free.
It would be a massive blow for the Chiefs and NFL fans alike, but if this is the end, it’s been an incredible ride.
