The NFL Draft is just a handful of days away, and that’s always great news for the fans.
This is one of the events that could not only make or break a team’s season but also set them back or push them forward a lot of years.
That’s why finding value is so crucial for scouts and executives and why taking big risks sometimes leads to even bigger rewards.
With that in mind, former NFL QB Robert Griffin III made yet another case for why teams shouldn’t sleep on Michael Penix Jr.
He was asked who he thought was the best quarterback at reading defenses both pre and post-snap, and he didn’t hesitate to choose the Washington star.
Michael Penix Jr’s tape goes BAR FOR BAR with the top QBs in the draft. Many are concerned about his health, but that’s why he went back for another year to prove he could stay healthy and led the FBS in pass yards AGAIN.#PurpleReign

Griffin explained that as much as the Huskies used him in an RPO-based system and a play-action-based system, the volume in which he was asked to do things helped him be the most polished guy at reading defenses.
He often found success at pushing the football down the field because he knew when to be aggressive and when not to, lauding the reads he made.
Griffin admits that there are reasons to be concerned about his health and long history of injuries, but that’s also why he stayed in college for another season to prove that he could stay on the field.
Not only did he do that, but he also led college football in passing.
Michael Penix Jr. comes with some red flags, but the tape also shows that he might be as talented as the highest-ranked prospects in this year’s stacked QB class.
