Former No. 2 overall pick and Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III knows a thing or two about explosiveness, as before knee injuries derailed his career, he was arguably the most explosive quarterback in the NFL.
Ironically, he has his eyes on another explosive Heisman-winning playmaker at quarterback as a potential Washington Commanders No. 2 pick.
RG III discussed LSU QB Jayden Daniels on his show today and called him the “most explosive playmaker” in this year’s QB class, adding he “attacks just like Super Saiyan Future Trunks did to Mecha Frieza” in a comparison that Dragon Ball Z fans will surely appreciate.
Jayden Daniels is the MOST EXPLOSIVE PLAYMAKER in this year’s QB Draft Class. He finds his opponent’s weak spot and attacks just like Super Saiyan Future Trunks did to Mecha Frieza.

It’s hard to disagree with RG III’s assessment after the year Daniels just had, as he threw for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns with just 4 picks while also running for 1,134 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Recent reports suggest that Washington is locked in with the No. 2 pick and won’t be trading down, making Daniels the most likely selection.
It’s easy to draw all the comparisons between Daniels and Griffin, as they are similar sizes, put up similar numbers in Heisman-winning campaigns, and likely both will have the pleasure of being selected No. 2 overall by Washington.
Fans just have to hope that Daniels’ tenure in DC goes better than Griffin’s, as Griffin was never the same after his electric rookie season ended with a torn ACL.
If Daniels is the pick, we will hear the RG III comparisons constantly, so it’s great that he has Griffin on his side to hopefully serve as a mentor and a resource for him in his transition to the NFL.
