Over the past couple of years, NFL players have taken a predictable approach to the offseason.
They try to put pressure on their teams by skipping minicamp to let them know that they want to get a new deal.
That’s getting tiring and repetitive, and it’ll come to a point where teams just won’t fall for that.
It’s the same thing with scrubbing the team from their social media bios or posts; it just doesn’t matter that much.
That’s why HC Robert Saleh is completely unfazed by the fact that Haason Reddick has yet to show up to the Jets’ facilities.
Talking to the media, the coach claimed once again that he knows that Reddick is getting his work done individually and that he’ll definitely be ready to perform when it’s actually time to play football games (via Jets Videos).
When asked, Robert Saleh says that he’s not concerned about Haason Reddick potentially not being with the Jets at the start of training camp:

The New York Jets traded for Reddick to add more depth to their already impressive defensive line.
He’s entering the final year of his contract, and while he’s not particularly young, he’s coming off a very good season and has proven to be a very productive pass rusher in all previous stops of his career.
The Jets haven’t openly talked about whether they’re going to sign him to a contract extension or even if that’s going to happen before the start of the season.
Still, the likeliest scenario is that he’s just going to show up and play when the time comes.
