Every year, there’s a polarizing quarterback prospect ahead of the NFL Draft, and this edition isn’t the exception.
Micahel Penix Jr. has drawn plenty of mixed reviews throughout the entire process.
The arm talent and skills are undeniable, and he had an incredible season in his final year in Washington.
Nonetheless, his age and his history of multiple injuries scare scouts and executives away.
That’s why Rome Odunze made sure to put in a good word for his quarterback.
In an interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio from the Combine, Odunze raved about Penix’s arm talent and leadership, stating that he’s not only a great player but also a great locker room guy and person outside of the locker room.

Penix missed plenty of time with different injuries, which is why he decided to stay in college for another season to prove that he could stay healthy.
His tape is remarkable, and his arm strength and talent are right up there with the best prospects in the game.
He could also be more prepared than other quarterbacks because of his continuous growth and experience.
Even so, he’s still projected to be a late first-round pick or early second-round pick.
Whichever team takes a chance on him could end up getting one of the best players in this class.
Hopefully, he’ll be able to avoid injury and prove to his doubters that age is just a number when it comes to athletic talent and that sometimes it’s okay to take a leap of faith.
