The Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly ready to stick with Kenny Pickett next season.
Reports claim that they’re no longer a player for Justin Fields, and while there have been rumors of some interest in Russell Wilson and/or Ryan Tannehill, they would still go with Pickett.
Needless to say, that has been a bit of a controversial decision, and the fans have had plenty to say about that.
Considering this situation, former defensive star Ryan Clark shared his thoughts on the Steelers quarterback.
“[The Steelers] organization was built on excellence. Kenny Pickett is not going to be your leader to the promised land of excellence,” Clark said.

Then again, he thinks this team has been built off excellence, and Pickett has failed to prove that he can be the guy who can lead them to excellence.
With that in mind, they should strongly consider moving on from their former first-round pick once and for all.
The Steelers have always had faith in Pickett, so it only makes sense that they want to see him play under a different offensive coordinator.
However, sometimes plans change along the way because of who becomes available, and both Justin Fields and Russell Wilson would be an upgrade for this team.
Also, if things don’t work out early in the season, it might be too late to pivot and find themselves someone who could get the job done, and this team is too close to contention to take that approach.
