We will be seeing a lot of the New York Jets this season.
The league gave them the most primetime games in the campaign, with six in the first 11 weeks.
They have a huge fan base and play in one of the largest sports markets on Earth, not to mention the fact that they’ll have Aaron Rodgers under center again, so this makes sense.
Nonetheless, Ryan Clark believes that could also set the team up for failure.
Talking on ESPN’s “First Take,” the former NFL player stated that the Jets may not want that kind of pressure so early in the season, wondering if the fans could be up for some disappointment.

He thinks that it makes sense to allow Rodgers to get a platform to prove himself, but the Jets might’ve been better off by adding some primetime games late in the season by flexing other games out.
Of course, there’s no reason to believe the Jets won’t be one of the best teams in the league, as they clearly have the personnel to do so.
Then again, that was also the case last season, and while Rodgers’ injury was obviously devastating, it also raised questions about the coaching staff and whether they’re good enough to get this team over the hump.
For now, we’ll have to wait and see.
Fortunately, we’ll have plenty of opportunities to do so.
