There’s a lot to like about Jayden Daniels if you’re an NFL GM.
He balled out at LSU, making the most of the chance he got, and becoming the first true star at the position since Joe Burrow left Death Valley.
More than that, he ran away — both literally and figuratively — with the Heisman trophy in his final season at Baton Rouge.
Nonetheless, despite being penciled in as the second-best player in this class for months now, that hasn’t changed him one bit.
According to former NFL player Ryan Clark (via Dan Orlovsky), Daniels is ‘the most humble star’ he’s ever been around, and that’s a lot to say, considering he’s been around his fair share of great players.

This contradicts a previous offseason report that cited Daniels as a ‘high-maintenance’ kind of guy.
Of course, most people who were familiar with him realized that the narrative wasn’t accurate, citing whoever leaked that was just trying to get him to fall in the first round so another team could get him.
Daniels has drawn comparisons to Lamar Jackson and Robert Griffin III because of the way he scrambles and extends plays with his feet.
Nonetheless, he’s also an impressive passer who has proven that he can make throws at all levels, and he should be able to make an immediate impact wherever he lands.
The prospect of having him in the nation’s capital with Kliff Kingsbury as his offensive coordinator is promising, and he should find plenty of success in this league.
