The New Orleans Saints suffered their first loss of the 2023 NFL season when they were unable to hold on against the Green Bay Packers.
The Saints had a comfortable 17-point lead heading into the fourth quarter, but the defense was unable to slow down Jordan Love who rallied the Packers and powered them to an 18-17 victory.
New Orleans looked like they were on the verge of their third consecutive victory despite losing Derek Carr earlier in the game due to a shoulder injury.
Jameis Winston took over as the quarterback and while he didn’t have a terrible performance, he was unable to move the chains enough to prevent Green Bay from storming back.
Winston is slated to start in a pivotal NFC South rivalry match against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4, but he’ll have help as Alvin Kamara will be making his season debut.
Kamara is primed to take over the backfield and the team got fans hyped for his return by sharing a picture of him via their Twitter account.

The NFL gave Kamara a three-game suspension after he pleaded no contest to breach of the peace involving an incident where a man was beaten.
However, the running back is active and should be put to work right away as Jamaal Williams landed on the injured reserve due to a hamstring injury.
Known for his quickness and pass-catching ability, Kamara is the perfect safety valve for Winston who can get himself in trouble when he holds the ball for too long.
With only Kendre Miller to share the load with, expect Kamara to have a busy day with the football.
