The Philadelphia Eagles have one of the most powerful running backs in the game right now.
Saquon Barkley earned the ‘Saquad’ nickname for his impressive build.
With that in mind, former Eagles star Jason Kelce asked him whether he could squat more than Jalen Hurts.
Hurts is famous for squatting 600 pounds, which is insanely heavy for a quarterback.
However, Barkley isn’t that impressed.
Talking on Kelce’s New Heights podcast, he claimed that he could definitely clear Hurts in a squat-off.
He didn’t even bat an eye, adding that he used to beat people in that regard every single time, but he just doesn’t do it anymore.
“I would put myself up there with a lot of people,”Barkley said.

Barkley went viral for squatting 585 pounds a couple of seasons ago, and it just looked effortless.

Even so, he didn’t mean that to be a shot at his new quarterback, adding that Hurts is perhaps the strongest quarterback in league history.
It’ll be interesting to see if Hurts takes his words to heart and challenges him to a squat-off.
That would be a PPV kind of event for Eagles fans, for sure.
More than that, the Eagles don’t need Barkley or Hurts to squat a car on their backs; they just need them to stay healthy.
Hurts was pretty banged up last season, and Barkley has a long history of ailments and injuries.
If they’re able to avoid injuries, this team could have one of the most dominant offenses in the game, especially with Kellen Moore calling the shots.
