The Seattle Seahawks have a very experienced quarterback room this season.
In addition to having 33-year-old starter Geno Smith back for another year, first-year head coach Mike Macdonald has brought in a few more veterans this offseason.
Former Commanders starter Sam Howell was traded from Washington D.C. to Washington state earlier this offseason after two seasons on the East Coast.
Just recently, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Seattle signed former XFL star and veteran backup P.J. Walker to the active roster.

Walker has been around the block for a while now.
After going undrafted out of Temple in 2017, Walker would bounce around in between the NFL and the XFL.
While in the NFL, he has had stints with the Indianapolis Colts, Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, Cleveland Browns, and now the Seahawks.
He was named an All-XFL performer after leading the league in passing yards and touchdowns in 2020 while with the Houston Roughnecks.
It appears as though he will be a simple depth piece for this roster.
He has appeared in 21 career NFL games and started in 9 of them.
The 29-year-old has a career record of 5-4 and a passer rating of 60.0.
It appears to have been already decided that he is going to be a backup for his NFL career.
He has the look of a savvy journeyman with a high football IQ.
It makes sense that Macdonald would want to bring in another experienced quarterback in his first full season as a head coach.
He is going to need all the help he can get.
