New York Mets starter Sean Manaea has been a big leaguer since 2016.
For the vast majority of his career, he has rocked long hair and a beard.
It had become a big part of his look, and many fans recognize him because of those elements.
The world is constantly changing, though, so Manaea decided to try something new.
He got rid of the long hair and even the beard is gone, too.
Fans just can’t believe it.
“Sean Manaea just cut his hair for the first time in four years,” the league’s official handle tweeted.

He hadn’t cut his hair in four years.
That’s a very long time.
To be honest, though, he doesn’t look bad with a short hair and with no beard.
Fans have had some hilarious comments, from saying that he went from Jason Momoa to Mark Ruffalo, to suggesting that he mixed up New York teams, in reference to the Yankees’ no facial hair policy.
Still, most of them dig the new look.
Mets fans, however, are more focused on what he can bring to the table from the mound instead of the way he looks.
And it’s hard to blame them: after a horrible 2023, they want to be better and, why not, fight for a postseason spot.
As for Manaea, he had a solid 2023 with the San Francisco Giants in which he posted a 4.44 ERA in 117.2 innings, alternating between the rotation and the bullpen.
He appears to be headed to the rotation in Flushing, and has the tools to succeed there.
