Rookie minicamp is always an exciting time for fans, as it’s the first time you get to see the newest members of the team suited up and bonding with their teammates.
The Denver Broncos are in need of a major revamp, and the new era will be ushered in by new rookie quarterback Bo Nix, who is tasked with guiding this team out of the depths of mediocrity and being head coach Sean Payton’s new franchise cornerstone.
Payton gushed about his new quarterback during his press conference at Broncos minicamp and heaped praise upon him, saying “There’s a patience to the way he plays…the ball comes out – and I don’t want to use the term ‘boring,’ that’s not the right term – but yeah, pretty good decisions…I thought he threw it well today.”

You don’t often hear the word “boring” used as a compliment, but in this context, it is, since sometimes the boring play is the right play.
Quickly making the right read and delivering a well-placed, consistent ball will always be a great play, and Nix did a ton of that in college en route to making the most starts of any QB in college history.
The Russell Wilson era in Denver was frustrating, as the team paid a boatload of money and forced fans into watching an actual boring offense with no explosiveness and an endless slew of check-downs and conservative playcalling.
Nix should be the starter from Day 1 and should be the most pro-ready QB in the draft given all his college experience.
