The Denver Broncos appear to have their quarterback of the future in Bo Nix.
They drafted him out of Oregon with the No. 12 overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft.
According to head coach Sean Payton, Nix has been performing very well in practice so far.
“Specifically to Bo, he’s doing really well. He’s picking it up….He’s throwing the ball extremely well,” Payton stated to the Denver Media.

After cutting ties with former quarterback Russell Wilson earlier this offseason, Denver has made multiple moves to improve the quarterback room.
They traded for veteran Zach Wilson in an effort to give the former Jet a new environment.
Then, they drafted Nix in the first round of the draft.
Veteran backup Jarrett Stidham is also on the roster in Denver too.
It will be very intriguing to see who wins this quarterback battle over the summer.
Wilson has started the most games in his career.
Stidham is the most experienced player in terms of seasons in the NFL.
But, Nix might very well be the most talented of the bunch.
The former Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year started 61 career games in college across his time at both Auburn and Oregon.
He turned the Ducks into contenders again and set himself up for quite a future.
Payton has experience coaching longtime college quarterbacks.
He coached a player by the name of Drew Brees, who played a long time at Purdue.
Perhaps he’ll look to find that same magic with Nix while in Denver.
