When the Miami Dolphins acquired wide receiver Tyreek Hill during the 2022 offseason, everyone wondered how he would perform without Patrick Mahomes as his quarterback.
Well, midway through his second year with the Dolphins, it’s safe to say that Hill has been doing just fine without Mahomes.
Since joining Miami in 2022, Hill has scored 14 touchdowns, averaged 109.7 receiving yards per game, and hauled in a total of 161 passes.
He has truly made a tremendous impact on the Dolphins since he arrived, and he’s a big reason why Miami has a 5-1 record heading into Week 7 this season.
On Monday, Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe declared that Hill is the most valuable non-quarterback in the entire NFL.
“[Tyreek Hill] strikes more fear in the heart of opposing coaches than any current [NFL] player.”

It’s difficult to argue with Sharpe on this one, as Hill has been almost unstoppable in six games this season.
So far this year, the Dolphins receiver has hauled in 42 catches for 814 yards and six touchdowns.
If Hill keeps up with his current pace, he’ll finish the 2023 season with 2,306 receiving yards, which would shatter the single-season NFL record of 1,964 yards currently held by former Detroit Lions pass catcher Calvin Johnson.
A case to be regarded as the most valuable non-quarterback in the NFL can be made for a number of other players around the league, including Aaron Donald, Justin Jefferson, Travis Kelce, and Christian McCaffrey.
But in terms of impact during the current NFL season, no one has arguably come even close to what Hill has been able to do out on the field for the Dolphins.
