Everything is pure happiness at the Los Angeles Dodgers’ spring training camp in Arizona.
Players are in a great mood, knowing they get to play for a bona fide contender in the National League.
They welcomed many talented newcomers, and Shohei Ohtani and Teoscar Hernandez are among those.
Chatting and joking around like two kids that just met, the Dominican Hernandez was caught on camera teaching Ohtani some Spanish.
The video is hilarious and wholesome at the same time.
“Dile, ‘buenos días,’” Hernandez starts.
He is asking (teaching) Ohtani to say “good morning” in Spanish, and Ohtani’s pronunciation is actually very solid.

He then asks him to say “buenos días, fanáticos,” or “good morning, fans,” and Ohtani says it flawlessly.
The two stars are just kicking back and having a good time in camp.
Hernandez, after that, tried to involve fellow Japanese star Yoshinobu Yamamoto to the exercise.
He says “Yama, buenos días”, and the three-time Pacific League MVP answers back with a perfect “buenos días,” too.
It looks like Hernandez is set to be the Dodgers’ official Spanish teacher.
Perhaps he has a future as a translator for his teammates.
All kidding aside, there seems to be a good atmosphere in the Dodgers’ clubhouse: the new additions are meshing well.
If everybody performs to the top of their abilities, the Dodgers are the closest thing to “unbeatable” in 2024.
They have Ohtani, Hernandez, Yamamoto, Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Max Muncy, Will Smith, Walker Buehler, Clayton Kershaw, Tyler Glasnow, and many more talented performers.
Health will be a factor, but this is one of the most talented teams ever assembled in MLB.
