The last few months have been exciting for new Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani.
If we go back a year, to the spring of 2023, he won the World Baseball Classic with Japan and was MVP of the tournament.
His Los Angeles Angels disappointed again in the MLB season, but he won his second AL MVP award.
Then, he signed with the Dodgers for $700 million in exchange for 10 years of his talent.
And now, he announced some pretty exciting personal news: he just got married!
“Shohei Ohtani is now married, he announced on Instagram. Congrats to him and his wife,” FOX Sports: MLB tweeted.

Ohtani didn’t provide many details in his Instagram post, but he let the world know he is now taken.
“Not only have I began a new chapter in my career with the Dodgers, but I also have began a new life with someone from my native country of Japan who is very special to me and I wanted everyone to know that I’m married,” he wrote.
He also thanked everyone for their love and support and said he is “excited” for what’s to come.
What’s to come is, hopefully, a life full of joy and happiness with his partner and a boatload of individual and collective achievements with the Dodgers.
His new team will provide a solid platform for him to be a part of a contender and, for the first time in his MLB career, play in the postseason.
Fans will finally get to enjoy one of the most unique players in the history of the game in the playoffs.
