The Dallas Cowboys are, without a doubt, one of the best teams in the NFL year after year ever since they handed the franchise over to star quarterback Dak Prescott, who has played well during the regular season.
However, even though Prescott has been among the best quarterbacks in the league during the regular season, the NFL playoffs are another thing entirely, as he has had zero success when the postseason rolls around, which should obviously be a concern, considering how much he gets paid and may be on the verge of getting paid.
During the 2023 NFL season, the Cowboys were a force to be reckoned with on both sides of the football, with Prescott doing his thing on offense and superstar linebacker Micah Parsons leading the defense.
Despite securing the second seed in the NFC, the Cowboys fell apart in the first round of the playoffs on the home field against a better-than-expected Green Bay Packers squad led by Jordan Love.
In the aftermath of the disappointing loss to the Packers, Dallas was thought to be a team that would consider some significant changes, like moving on from Prescott and head coach Mike McCarthy, but no moves were made.
Now Prescott could be in line for another massive contract extension, with Skip Bayless of FOX Sports believing the team will indeed sign him to a long-term deal, via “The Skip Bayless Show.”
“I do believe Jerry [Jones] will crumble,” Bayless said. “Dak will be a Cowboy in 2025 and in 2026 and 2027.”

Although many believed the deal with Prescott should’ve been done by now, all signs still seem to point to the Cowboys getting an extension done with their star quarterback.
However, anything can happen from here on out, especially if Prescott struggles during the 2024 campaign.
