With the Atlanta Falcons hiring Raheem Morris as their new head coach, it seems like the opportunities are fading for Bill Belichick.
As someone who is considered to be the greatest coach of all time, it’s crazy to see that no other team is even slightly interested in signing him.
Nonetheless, it wasn’t much of a surprise to Skip Bayless.
Talking on Undisputed, the controversial pundit stated that the reason Arthur Blank didn’t hire him was because Belichick wanted to be in control of everything, and he wasn’t going to accept that.

He made a case for Blank not getting any younger and mentioned the fact that other decision-makers knew that their jobs would be in jeopardy if they signed Belichick.
Last but not least, he talked about Belichick’s mediocre record without Tom Brady and how Belichick made a huge mistake by convincing Robert Kraft that their legendary quarterback was done already.
At the end of the day, even if Belichick’s record without Brady is quite unimpressive, there’s simply no way to take anything away from him or what he accomplished.
Then again, his ego and stubbornness may be playing against him here, as his refusal to delegate and his determination to micromanage may be costing him opportunities.
