The Dallas Cowboys are in desperate need to fill one key vacancy.
With Dan Quinn leaving Arlington to become a rival head coach of the Washington Commanders, Mike McCarthy needs a new defensive coordinator.
With that in mind, NFL analyst and Cowboys fan Skip Bayless claimed that he agreed with Trevon Diggs’ endorsement of Al Harris, arguing that he sees him on the sidelines and knows he could do the job with plenty of success.
Talking on Undisputed, Bayless said that the 14-year veteran could be a suitable replacement for Quinn.
“My gut tells me Al Harris can do this job,” he said.

Harris was a Pro Bowler with the Green Bay Packers in the late 2000s, and he’s been a defensive coach since 2012, when he retired.
His coaching career started as an intern for the Miami Dolphins, later joining the Kansas City Chiefs to be their secondary coach.
He had a brief stint at FAU before returning to the NFL with the Cowboys in 2020.
Notably, Trevon Diggs has had nothing but praise for him, claiming that he’s taught him everything he knows.
Under his tutelage, Diggs earned an All-Pro selection and led the league in interceptions in 2021.
Now, DaRon Bland has followed in his footsteps, setting a record with five pick-sixes this season.
Harris should at least be on the shortlist of candidates for the job.
Then again, coach McCarthy knows that he could be coaching for his job from the very second he steps on the field for OTAs, so he might want to go with a more experienced coach this time.
