The Dallas Cowboys have their toughest challenge of the season yet on Sunday.
The Philadelphia Eagles are hurt, and one could argue that there’s no better time to face them than now that they’ve been exposed at home.
Nonetheless, the Cowboys might not have Mike McCarthy on the sidelines, as the veteran coach had to undergo emergency surgery for an acute appendectomy.
That’s why Cowboys fan and NFL analyst Skip Bayless seems to be quite worried.
.@RealSkipBayless is concerned if Mike McCarthy is not on the sidelines after an appendectomy:
“There’s nothing good about it. He has become a crucial part of Dak’s new comfort zone.” pic.twitter.com/9esuLzLFYd

In the latest edition of Undisputed, he urged McCarthy to be out there, as he’s become a part of Dak Prescott’s comfort zone, and that cannot change ahead of the most crucial game of the season.
Bayless stated that unless McCarthy’s absence somehow motivates the locker room to be at their best and play to honor him, that’s simply not going to be a good thing.
He recalled a time not so long ago when people considered McCarthy to be the best offensive play-caller in all of football, which is why he believes he deserves more credit for Prescott’s resurgence.
At the end of the day, the Cowboys are professionals and should be able to get by without McCarthy.
Then again, this is the last game you would want to see anything go wrong.
The Cowboys have the perfect opportunity to take control of the division and even potentially of the NFC, not to mention the chance to give their rival another gut punch right before the start of the playoffs.
