Not so long ago, NFL fans — and even some scouts — mocked Lamar Jackson for reportedly not being a good passer.
They often gave him a hard time for being more efficient with his feet than with his arm, often urging him to switch to running back or wide receiver.
Jackson always stood by his word and claimed to like the passing game more than the scrambles, and it seems like he’s finally established himself as one of the best in that regard.
According to Pro Football Reference, he currently leads the league with the most games with a completion percentage of 70% or better this season (7), even ahead of the likes of Brock Purdy and Tua Tagovailoa (6 each), and Patrick Mahomes and Dak Prescott (5 each).

The Baltimore Ravens finally got an offensive coordinator who could bring the best out of Jackson.
Todd Monken revamped the team’s offense by giving him more freedom and putting more emphasis on the passing game to provide more offensive balance.
The additions of Zay Flowers and, to a lesser degree, Odell Beckham Jr., have also been instrumental in Jackson’s development as a passer.
He continues to make strides and silence his critics once and for all.
And while he might not be Patrick Mahomes or Aaron Rodgers, he’s made it more than clear that he’s no longer just an elite scrambler.
Numbers never lie, and the numbers are proving that he’s also an elite thrower of the football.
Now, he has to keep things up in the playoffs, which is where he still has some things to prove.
